Dr Montgomery is a highly skilled clinical psychologist, having gained her experience in senior positions in both the NHS and private practice. She has contributed to research relevant to her patients, with her work on empathy and ASD (https://tinyurl.com/kcrr79ma) and her work on the challenges faced by families with a child with ASD (https://tinyurl.com/yff4dyp2) being published in peer-reviewed academic journals.
In her NHS roles, Dr Montgomery has worked in child development centres and therapeutic schools, and has been trained to administer both the Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development (Bayley-III) and the National Autistic Society’s Early Bird Programme. She has led psychology services that support children with complex developmental needs and disabilities, and she adopts a strengths-based approach to her work.
