Dr Lorraine Pauley

Consultant Psychiatrist

Dr Pauley graduated from Glasgow Medical School in 2002 and became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatry in 2008, gaining a further Masters Degree in Clinical Psychiatry in 2010. She became a consultant psychiatrist in 2011, specialising in child and adolescent mental health and in the assessment and support of people with ASD across all ages. She continues to work in a leadership role in ASD assessment services in the NHS.

Alongside supervising psychiatric trainees, Dr Pauley is a clinical examiner for the Royal College of Psychiatry, General Medical Council, and Liverpool Medical School. She has been awarded clinical excellence levels one and two, and she has completed additional training relevant to the assessment and diagnosis of ADHD, a condition that often co-exists with ASD.
